Autism in Children
Autism and Autism Spectrum Disorders are neurological conditions which affect the brain and its ability to function. A child affected by autism may experience limited motor function, as well as problems with speech and communication, concentration and behaviour. However, no two people with autism will demonstrate the exact same behaviour patterns, and the severity of each symptom may range from person to person. As a result, a child’s treatment needs to be specifically tailored to his condition and current stage of development.
Treatment for Autism
There are various therapies available that can help your autistic child improve his motor functions, communication skills, behaviour and concentration. The sooner treatment begins, the better the prognosis. At Health in Motion, our ultimate objective is to teach patients the independence they need to be successful in their daily lives.
We are proud to have helped several children gain their independence in every aspect of their lives. Depending on your child's condition, we may use a variety of different therapies as a part of his treatment program. Please contact us for more information.
How Our Treatment Changes Lives
"Alex was diagnosed with autism at the age of three years old. At this age he still could not crawl, stand or walk independently... He did not use his arms, and we did not know how to communicate with him. After only six months of treatment, Alex is able to do lots of things he could not do before, such as transitioning from sitting to standing, walk independently, bending down to pick up objects, open and close doors, express himself and make – up choices. He is listening and understanding others, and actually communicating with people!"
